WINCH STANDS |
An alternate to the anchor sleeve bracket method of dock anchoring was used at Shaver Lake. Here the dock is held in place with cables attached to heavy anchors on the lakebed. This photo is of the winch stands used to mount the winches. |

WINCHES |
Heavy duty cables are wound on the winches and attached to massive anchors dropped to the floor of the lakebed. The winches are used to keep the cable tight to prevent the dock from drifting. This method of anchoring requires more involvement from the dock owner and more maintenance. |
