WINCH STANDS

An alternate to the anchor sleeve bracket method of dock anchoring was used at Shaver Lake. Here the dock is held in place with cables attached to heavy anchors on the lakebed. This photo is of the winch stands used to mount the winches.

WINCHES

Heavy duty cables are wound on the winches and attached to massive anchors dropped to the floor of the lakebed. The winches are used to keep the cable tight to prevent the dock from drifting. This method of anchoring requires more involvement from the dock owner and more maintenance.

DOCK COMPONENTS READY TO BE DECKED

DECKING

This photo shows the decking being installed prior to shipment. All of the dock components were preassembled in Hot Springs before they were transportend to California.

AWAITING DELIVERY

The project nears completion with only last minute details to finish before the crew and trucks are ready to take off.

THREE TRUCKS

It will take three semi-trucks to haul the marina to Shaver Lake.

OVERSIZED LOADS

Two days of loading and securing to assure safe delivery to the job site.

FINAL INSPECTION

One last look to make sure that each truck is secure and everything is fastened to keep from shifting.
