Frequently Asked Questions
I live in another state but am interested in your products. Will you build a new dock for me?Yes. We are eager to talk to you. We already have docks in several other states and as far away as California! Our docks are so unique and well built that they can withstand the transport process and arrive safe and strong. Our crew has built and installed so many docks that they can complete the installation with a precision and efficiency that will astound you. Don't hesitate to call us and we will help you with the design plans and configuration you are dreaming of. Back to TopWhen is the lake drawdown on Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine this year, and when will they begin adding water in the spring? Our territory is expanding, so the local news isn't applicable to all of you who visit our website, but for our Lake Hamilton and Lake Catherine friends here in the Hot Springs area we will try to stay abreast of any news from Entergy which will affect your lifestyle and playtime on the lake. The Lakes and Properties Coordinator's office staff are busy, but always eager to help us and help you with the guidelines they mandate for the ever changing shorelines as we buy and sell lake properties and change our boat docking needs. The lake levels fluctuate with the seasons so to promise to post the dates of the fall drawdown and the rising waters of spring in this website each season is unrealistic for the webmaster. We will try to post the dates as we learn them, but it's best to call us for specifics. Usually we know as soon as they decide, so if you have questions concerning the dates don't hesitate to call our office. (501-525-0000) If we don't know the answers to your questions we will do our best to find out and let you know so you can plan to protect your property from unnecessary damages by not being prepared. We highly recommend pushing your dock out for the winter to prevent damages to your floats as they settle on rocky lakebeds. The uneven lake bottom puts undue stress on your dock frames and fatigues your dock and often times creates expensive and unnecessary damages. The old adage an ounce of prevention applies to the push-out process. If you are in doubt call us. We know every inch of this lake and KNOW THE AREA. We know how deep your waters are and can better judge the needs of the push-out than the novice. We routinely keep our eyes out for irregular lake fluctuations and are eager to help you if there is a crisis situation and if your dock needs immediate attention. Back to TopI live on Lake Catherine. Do I need a permit to build a dock there?Yes, and the key here is to plan ahead! No matter where we live it is impossible in every situation to be able to plan our lives months ahead, but if you are thinking of replacing your old dock or installing a new one it is important to remember to get your applications in for your permits as soon as you can. Most lakes that we work on have a regulatory agency that mandates guidelines. Whether it be a corporate owned lake like Lakes Hamilton and Catherine here in Hot Springs, or a state owned lake or river which is regulated by a Corps of Engineers, or a privately owned lake governed by a POA (Property Owners Association) there is usually someone who you must deal with to get permission. Once again we stress that the process will be easy and painless with proper planning. Our office is eager to help you. We know the basic guidelines that have been established by Entergy and have a good working relationship with the Lakes and Property Coordinator. We have a supply of permits and forms to explain to you what they require so that you will have a general idea if your dock plans will meet their requirements. We have access to the offices of most of the Corps of Engineers who regulate the surrounding areas and can help you with these applications as well. We will help you from start to finish. Ask questions. We have heard them before and usually have the answers. If we don't know the answers we will research until we find out what you need to know. When in doubt, call us. Back to TopDo I need a permit for a Jet Dock or a Lift?Yes and No. Here in Hot Springs up until the past couple of years you were not required to permit either Jet Docks or boat lifts. As we introduced the Jet Dock to this area they have become so enormously popular that it became necessary for Entergy to approve of their placement so that they don't infringe upon the lakes right of way or the neighbors access to their property. Here again it is important to repeat and stress to you that planning ahead pays off. Call us and we will work with you to get your Jet Docks permitted in a rapid manner. At this time there is no permit required to install any of our boat lifts. Call us. We can help. Back to TopI live on a lake with Corps of Engineer mandates. Can you help me?You bet! No matter what state you live in we will do the leg work and the paperwork required by the Corps of Engineers in your state. Call us for further details at 501-525-0000 or 501-844-0000.
